Sent to a friend

[1057] Love don't love me.

I am 18 years old and I haven't had one steady boyfriend yet. When I was in the 6 th grade, I was told that having relationships in middle school and high school helped you develop into a more mature person. I haven't had a relationship longer 1 month. I've always liked someone who never liked me back, and somehow I always ended up hurt and saddened by their decision to not be with me. Am I love sick, or maybe I just fall for the wrong guys too fast. I am in college now and I am afraid to fall for anyone because I see how bad my friends' relationships are. I want to spare my tears and pain. How should I handle my next relationship, if I ever have one.

  • FIRST OFF STOP SAYING FALL, BECAUSE THAT WORD ITSELF IS SCARY. FIRST GET TO KNOW THE PERSON AND NOT JUST THE FACE IN THE MIRROR. WE ALL FALL PREY TO THE PHYSICAL ATTRIBUTES OF THE OPPOSITE SEX. BUT AS YOU MATURE YOU LEARN THAT ITS A PERSON'S CHARACTER AND HOW HE TREATSYOU THAT MAKES THEM ATTRACTIVE.
GET TO KNOW A PERSON BEFORE YOU DECIDE TO ACT UPON YOUR INITIAL ATTRACTION. AS FAR A SPARING YOU TEARS AND PAIN, SORRY SWEETHEART THAT IS JUST PART OF THE PRICE YOU PAY WHEN YOU ARE IN LOVE WITH THE WRONG PERSON. BUT KNOW THIS IF THE PERSON YOU ARE ATTRACTIVE TO, MAKES YOU FEEL GOOD ABOUT YOURSELF, ASPIRES YOU TO DO BETTER IN LIFE, THEN THIS IS THE ONE TO--- AS YOU SAY FALL FOR. IF THE PERSON YOU ARE ATTRACTIVE TO MAKES YOU FEEL INFERIOR OR LESS ATTRACTIVE , THEN THIS IS NOT THE ONE. BE THE PRIZE AND NOT THE TRICK. TREAT YOURSELF DON'T CHEAT YOURSELF!!!!!!!
  • Firstly, you need to remember what you give out is what you shall receive in return. Its hard but its life and life is always about learning. You learn from your firends and the mistakes they make beacuse you can't make all the mistakes yourself. You need to remember to love yourself before you can love anyone else, and before anyone can love you in return. No one can do for you what you can do for yourself, so if being single for a while is a probelm then you are not ready to be in a relationship. You need to strengthen your 'self'. Learn to love your 'self' and once you do- love will find you- and it will be when you weren't even looking!
Don't rush into being in a relationship just because someone said it makes you more mature- know your own mind and move at your own pace. Their is no age limit on maturity. Good luck!
