Sent to a friend[1344] Best friend molested by father, now forced to live with father...
Hey people, I have a friend, shes been my friend for almost 10 yrs, shes lived a pretty lonely life being that at the tender age of 11 her mother had a severe stroke and fell into a coma and remains that way til this day, being the closest person she has and she does not drive I bring her to visit her mother; this past January her brother 38 yrs old died of long time heart problems, a while ago she revealed to me that her father did things to her as a kid and after what happened to her mother she was in his care. She lived with him until about 16, she left and paid for a room at her brothers in-laws house. Now, since then she has been on her own, she fell into some financial problems recently and she now stays with him (her father), shes been there since August. Now my problem is he treats her really bad, he told her she could stay and save her money but now hes constantly asking her for money, even when shes full aware that he has money and says to her "Youve been here too long, when are you leaving?"
"The reason I dont like you is beacuse you are here in my house", now she takes care of her little brother (whom he had 4 yrs ago, mind u he is still married to her mother in the coma) when he is being too lazy to do so, she puts food in his house, and cleans up, everytime Im there thats whats shes doing. She complains to me all the time how he treats her and how uncomfortable it makes her feel because she doesnt want to be there and shes haunted by what hes done to her in the past. Me as a friend feels a lil burden on my chest because I am literally her ONLY friend, Ive watched her permiscuous ways, fallen out drunken nights, but in the end I know that beautiful person she is deep within.
What do u say to a friend going through all this when in so many ways you want to run for the hills and carry on your own life!!??? Please help!!!

- IF your friend is an adult, and able bodied, there is no reason for her to put but herself in this position. when she was a child, she was helpless, but not that she is an adult she can take care of herself. She is only there because she chooses to be.
- She needs to leave his house. Period. She lives in hell with the devil. I'd rather be homeless than live with the devil. She has deep emotional issues and needs to seek help to begin healing. She can leave. Maybe she wants to be there. Who knows. Either way she needs to get out of that situation and fast to prevent any more damage than what has already been done.
