- personally you've got the stereotype all wrong... not just emos cut themselves... also not all emos cut and most people dont cut for attention (some do and i know this becuase i know someone like that), but people of all stereotypes cut, not just the emos... get the true origin of the stereotype before you go judging... emo stands for emotional which was a genre of music... not people who cut themselves... emo just became a term for the emotional people... not all of them cut though...
