Sent to a friend Black people annoy me at times. Why do we waste valuable time arguing over petty things, like what term we should us to call ourselves?! What difference does it make!? The same so called conscious men and women are doing absolutely nothing for the black community, other than further dividing us. These fake sisters are the same ones who cry when a black man marries a light skinned black woman. These phony brothers have more baby mommas than the entire 2 Live Crew! Why is the community silent when it comes to grown men having sex with our little girls? Where are the militant black men and strong sisters when you need them? Why aren’t the conscious enlightening the so-called ignorant masses, instead of steady looking down on them? Have they forgotten their roots and where they’ve come from?Rating:4.33

- I understand where you are coming from but don't be quick to put your people down. It is always easy to look at the negative things instead of the positive. I love my people. We just need a little work. We have come a long way and until these young black parents start teaching their kids how be live right, rather than letting them do what they have done in the past than we can come together as a race. The only times black folk really get on my nerves is when they act how people stereo-type them to act!!
- I can relate with your feelings totally. I was speaking about this the other day with friends. It's true that we need work but how are we going to accomplish that with persons who are unethusiastic about this cause.I was once told by this man whose daughter I fought that"If a boat subside and ppl fell in the white people would help them,but if bkacks were in the same situation,they would leave everybody behind and only help themselves.Kinda like each man for himself." The way this world is going,I am starting to believe that is true. We need to stop being so miserable(the ones who are) and praise those who call for praise instead of hating.Peace n love

- Yes it is bad for our people. But the same things you mention here happen with all races believe or not. But you just proved your own point by saying
" Black people annoy me at times" . At one point in time we all have seen, heard, or even done something ignorant. We have to learn to understand and cope in order to help each other. Everybody isn't up for that because of all of their situations. Everybody has their hand out , it's true. But you know that the building of a new better generation, starts with the children. It's hard to tell adults how they should change because most are stuck in their ways and stubborn. You teach a child how to respect, how to stay focused and educated so they can't be taken advantage of. As of now, changing a whole race of people seems impossible. But love is the only thing that can conquer hate. - What are YOU doing for the community besides complaining about it?
I admit sometimes "we" can be as ignit as all get out (it has been proven many times on this website) but we have a lot of positive, educated and wonderful role models out there who not only see the problem but try helping out when they can. - I agree with most people when they say its all in the parenting of the youth so they know the ways of parenting (hard love, but good love)

well wat are u offering as a means to better our situation? seems to me like u are adding to many complaints already given by others, u seem no different than them...u seem to be downing us black folks, the same u hate about other blacks folks (LOL)..... u've come full circle doing everything u have complained about in this condession?
now as i stated b4.... WHAT ARE U GONNA DO TO MAKE THIS SITUATION BETTER, or what are u doing in your community NOW that will enhance or help anoher brother/sister out?
PLEASE LET US KNOW ~ - Come on people WHY are we attacking this guy or gal on their beliefs. I do feel that sometimes Black people annoy me and yes I am black and I am one of those people who work in my community trying to rebuild the African American structure. But if black people dont start caring and trying change then what can 1 person do but challenge others brain. Sometimes all I am doing is giving my people brain teaser. I have 1 or 2 consistent families out of hundreds in my neighborhood. I feel the person who started the forum is doing this to ask for help. Not to get drowned in disrespectful comments. So let me tell you one of the things I did to help in my neighborhood I started with the school. Lets educate our children. Then that starts a chain reaction education is the key to everything. Lack of education starts Ignorance and Idiots. Let's EDUCATE!!!

- I feel you. But most people don't realize that a lot of black folks issues date all the way back to slavery. I feel like slavery is the main reason. The white man has fucked up so many generations MENTALY! Do ever see how black folks can't do nothing together without fighting or arguing and sadly lead to gun violence. I love my people soo much and it really made me sad when I came to this conclusion. I do whatever I can for my community but most importantly start with our black children. Peace
- I agree with the above poster whole heartedly. But seriously, what are you doing to help our current state. Not being a smart ass, at least I am not intending to be one. Look in the mirror and then tell us what you do to stop the cycle we are stuck in before I actually comment.
