- In situations like that, I would play him with his own game. Go over his head. Establish a professional relationship with someone that oversees him. That's how I arised above my boss..."the devil." He wont know where it hit him. Just get in the good graces and use it against him. Be deceitful just like "they" do...but with tact and professionalism. You go girl!

- Oh please please! Do not go over his head , that could call for you to get fired. I've seen it happen many times before. You don't want to take that chance, because even if you don't get fired your boss will be more of a pain. Instead try to kill him with kindness. Go above and beyond in your daily tasks just to prove to him and others that you are capable of an advance. You prove to him how much work you can take care of by yourself, maybe you will get promoted. It may not sound easy, but you have to work hard in order to get the finer things out of life. Just don't fight fire with fire, not only will it come back to you later on , you might get burned in the process. Keep your head up, and ask god for his wisdom and strength day to day. If worse comes to worse, try and find another job.

CHECK THAT SISTER, DON'T TRY TO GET DIRT ON SOMEONE, BECAUSE IN THE END THE DIRT WILL BE ON YOU. YOU CAN'T GET DIRT WITHOUT GETTING DIRTY. OPP-- ORGANIZE, PREPARE AND PRAY THAT'S HOW YOU WILL MAKE IT THROUGH THE DAY. DON'T FOCUS ON THAT BOSS. YOU ARE MAKING HIM MORE IMPORTANT THAN HE IS. FOCUS ON GOD. WHEN YOU DO ALL YOUR WORRIES WILL EASE AND YOU WILL BE ABLE TO MAKE THE RIGHT DECISIONS FOR YOU. A MIND THAT IS BOGGED DOWN IN WORRY CAN NOT MAKE THE BEST DECISIONS. If that doesn' work, find a new job or move into another position. You may have to step laterally before you can take a step up. - Pray and stay clear and clean in your motives, concious and your heart so that
God can work it out for you. God worked it out for me. Some strange events happened and put me in a good place and they're wondering what happened???. I didn't do anything but God did. Just pray for favor of God and men.
also pray for wisdom and insight so you can know how to move right. I'm telling you God will set you up for some blessings. I pray now that God will do it for you. And I pray that he will continue to keep me favored and blessed above all the haters!
- Document every time he screws you over and work your butt off. In six months, start job hunting, but also take it to HR and his supervisor and request he be reviewed. That way you have a evidence, civility, and an exit plan.

Gee maybe you aren't qualified for anything more than you have. Perhaps you are spending all of your time feeling sorry for yourself instead of doing your job.
I can think of all kinds of feelings of entitlement that would prevent a boss from offereing up a promotion. - don't write anything you can say, don't say anything you can infer, don't infer anything you can have someone else do for you.
that's how you stay out of trouble. get her to email everything so you have documentation. find out the grievance process for your company. find one particular issue that violates a federal regulation like a HIPPA or OSHA violation and collect the dirt. If you are a whislteblower, there are federal laws that protect your job.
screw praying for the person. what do you hope to accomplish with that? God is perform a miracle and change the person voiding her free will? learn what prayer is before you suggesting it to someone.
