- Yes, you should. Since you are young, I could be wrong, why don't you contact Job Corps. http://jobcorps.doleta.gov they will be able to assist you with getting your GED as well as marketable career skills. There's a wonderful brother, he dropped out of school, earned a GED via Job Corps, continued on to earn a Ph.D. You can do it, don't let ANYONE tell you otherwise! His story is too long to post, but you can look him up. Dr. Warren A. Rhodes. He wrote a short story, called From the Jailhouse to the Whitehouse. Part of it reads: You can succeed, too. You can make people proud of you. There is no magic about it. This is what to do. First, decide what you want to be. Second, develop your own dreams about succeeding and how proud you will feel when you do succeed. Third, work hard to make your dreams come true. Fourth, do not let anything stop you. Fifth, remember that winners NEVER QUIT!
I was a tough guy. I failed in school. I was in reform school and in jail. I stole and did lots of other crimes. I even shot dope. I changed, and you can change, too.

It's never too late!
People in their 50's and 60's are returning to college and getting degrees. If they can do that, you definitely can go back and get your GED.
There are many organizations and individuals who can assist you with that, too. Be encouraged! :)
