Sent to a friend A friend of mine has been in love with this guy for a long time. they both like each other in fact. The problem is, my friend is a devout christian, and her parents will not let him date him until she is at least 16. she is 15 now and will be sixteen in october, but recently we all learned that the guy she loves is moving away to south africa very soon...before her birthday. he is moving to live there forever!It has been so hard on both of them and me and my friends can't stand to see him this way, its heart wrenching. what should i do? her parents wont let her go out with him and I think it really sucks.... please help me someone!!!

Well, if he is moving to Africa, I say it's best that she hasn't had the opportunity to date him. Dating him and allowing herself to fall deeper in love with him would only complicate matters.
She'll be sixteen in a few months and then in two more years she'll be eighteen, legally grown, and can do as she pleases, even if that means seeking him out in Africa (if what they have is still there and she hasn't been able to get over him).
I'd definitely count this a blessing in disguise, because she could have had their permission to date him and then get all wrapped up in him, only to have him leave and THAT would be the part that I wouldn't be able to see them go through.

WELL WHATEVER THE FRIEND SHOULD LISTEN TO HER PARENTS AND THOUGH SHE WILL MISS THIS GUY, WHAT KIND OF RELATIONSHIP COULD THEY EVER HAVE WITH HIM IN AFRICA. IT SOUNDS LIKE YOUR FRIEND WANTS TO GIVE THIS GUY A GOING AWAY PRESENT, AND I HOPE THAT IT IS NOT HER SELF. JUST BECAUSE HE GOES TO AFRICA , DOES NOT MEAN THAT THEY CAN NOT STILL BE FRIENDS, WHICH IS WHAT THEY SHOULD BE AT FIRST ANYWAY. TIME WILL TAKE CARE OF WHATEVER HAPPENS AFTER THE FRIENDSHIP STARTS .
